Free Finance and Accountancy Workshops for Voluntary & Community Organisations

The Community Accountancy Service is pleased to announce that it is holding a series of workshops offering financial training to voluntary and community organisations/groups in the Nuneaton & Bedworth and North Warwickshire areas. These workshops are aimed at those who have responsibility for finance and accounts within groups as well as Trustees/Committee members. 

Workshops being held are:

Basic Bookkeeping

This workshop will take you through setting up and running your accounting system to ensure that it meets your needs. The main areas covered will be working with Cashbooks, Petty Cash systems, and performing month-end Bank Reconciliations.

Managing your Organisation's Finances

This workshop will show you how to set and monitor Budgets as well as prepare Cash Flow forecasts which will enable you to plan and monitor your organisation's performance. Full Cost Recovery for your organisation will also be covered.

Developing Internal Financial Controls

This workshop will introduce and explain the crucial types of internal controls necessary to ensure that your organisation protects its assets and that Trustees/ Committee members are meeting their legal responsibilities.

Please note that these workshops are free to small community or voluntary organisations in the Nuneaton & Bedworth or North Warwickshire area.  The workshops are open to those living outside of this area at a cost of £30.00 per workshop per person (subject to availability).  Please contact Mike Daniels for more information.
